Friends of Bayou Lafourche, FOBL, seeks a Director. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative person to build a member-based organization focused on developing the potential resources of the bayou.
Friends of Bayou Lafourche, a newly formed 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit supports Bayou Lafourche's communities by increasing recreational access to the bayou, creating bayou friendly enjoyable shoreline areas and facilities, conducting bayou related events and outreach to educate and engage more local citizens and others for a healthier bayou. We actively work to engage the people of the bayou region in healthy utilization of the bayou but also in the understanding, protection and sustenance of it. FOBL will create new initiatives while working closely with local related agencies, organizations, institutions and government entities.. As we look toward the future, our quest is to transform Bayou Lafourche from one of the most publicly underutilized waterways in the region to a widely attractive, appreciated, vital and healthy natural resource. Our goal is for a more enjoyed and understood Bayou Lafourche.
